ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

Spend 4 days cycling in Majorca on guided routes. (5/6 days including travel days)

This experience will be four days of amazing cycling, we will enjoy cycling through lush orange orchards and fertile vineyards that produce world-famous wines, as well as the spectacular countryside that is Mallorca (Majorca).

On this trip there will be options to do some climbing, if you want it. If you dont thats fine we cant take a more sedate ride

Not about speed, this is about getting cycling miles into the legs (Approx. 70/100 miles per day), this relaxing cycle is also about the stunning surroundings, we will ride for approx. two hours before stopping for either coffee or lunch and enjoy a relaxing late afternoon followed by an evening of food and wine.

We will stay in the same hotel for the whole trip, where there is a pool and spa facilities (Extra fee payable for the spa), and Breakfast and evening meal (3 course) are included in the cost as is a Hire bike (Full carbon).

APPROXIMATE ITINERARY

THE FOLLOWING IS AN APPROXIMATION OF OUR DAYS IN THE SADDLE
  • DAY 1 - 12th JUNE
    ARRIVAL DAY 12th JUNE

    Transfer to the hotel, and then the day is yours until approx. 1600, we will have an informal briefing and then collect our bikes at approx. 1700.
    Other than the briefing the day is yours including the evening, the evening meal is at 1900 (All meals are included in the experience.)

    We will meet at 0845 the following Morning for the start of our first day's ride.

  • DAY 2 - 13th JUNE
    day 2 - 90 km / 559 m

    Ride to Bunyola returning via Alaro and Inca

    After riding part of the cycleway to Palma, we will head towards Bunyola and our first coffee of the day.
    Following this we will head to Alaro, which has some nice views out across the Majorcan landscape, we will have lunch at CYCLE PLANET in Alaro.

    For those that want it the Coll d'Honor Awaits

    The ride back to our hotel is a nice flat affair, we can again stop for coffee if required or push on back to the hotel for some free time in the spa (fee payable) or you can simply realx in the sun.

  • DAY 3 - 14th JUNE
    day 3 - 138 km / 739 m

    Ride to Alcudia and Back

    Today our half way goal is the walled city of Alcudia and lunch, on route we will stop for coffee and cake, the ride is plenty of flat roads with more perfect tarmac and special views.

    Hopefully after lunch we will have wind at our backs to push us home on more super quite cycle ways, we have plenty of time and plenty of opportunities for more coffee.

  • DAY 4 - 15th JUNE
    day 4 - 100 km / 632 m

    Ride to Sa rapita returning via Llucmajor

    The ride to Sa Rapita shows all the Majorca has to offer, with great views, quite roads and perfect tarmac, our first coffee stop is in Sa Rapita and some of the best cakes on the island.

    After coffee we are off towards Llucmajor and our second stop of the day, this second part is on flat cycleways (Like B roads in the uk) just alot quieter.

    The road from Llucmajor back to the hotel is either flat or down hill, plenty of rest when we are back.

  • DAY 5 - 16th JUNE
    day 5 - 56 km / 619 m OR 120 km / 1321m

    Ride to Calvia/Esporles OR Calvia to Andratx

    We will start the day all together for our ride to Calvia and coffee in the hills, its worth it.

    This is the only day where we may split the group, if you want the easy ride we head to Magaluf and back to the hotel stopping for coffee near the marina or you can have a more difficult day up to Andratx, before returning to the hotel.

    After the days riding we will need to return the bikes back to the Hire shop (Approx 1700).

  • DAY 6 - 17th JUNE
    day 6 - Onward travel

    Today is a relaxed affair (Dependant on your flight times) We will arrange transfers back to the airport so that you can return home.

    You can use all the facilities in the hotel or have a look around Palma (approx 5km walk) or (20 Minutes on a bus.)

  • 5 Nights’ accommodation in the same hotel.

  • Bike hire for the trip. (Full carbon bikes, + £50 for Di 2)(Only if Di2 is available).
  • 4 full days of guided routes (We ride with you).
  • Transfers from Palma airport to the Hotel., but not the return home.

  • Travel to Majorca and from Majorca back home. (We will arrange a transfer from Palma airport only).
  • Lunches, Snacks or Drinks.
  • Travel Insurance.
  • Personal Equipment.
  • Taxi transfers or public transport should you need to miss part of the ride.

The total cost of the trip is £845.00 .

The initial payment through this webpage is a deposit of £200 (Plus the booking fee) this will then secure your place.

Further payments are due in staged intervals, or you can pay the balance in full.

TRAVEL INFORMATION

It is your responsibility to ensure you are at the start location for this experience.

This is in Majorca, including with your bike (if you bring your own), Velo europe do not organize your travel from your home destination to the start location, although we can assist with transfers from Palma airport to The Hotel if required, (All transfers are subject to flight times).

If there is a need to book flights, ferries or additional travel please contact us BEFORE you do this, the experiences have a limited number of entrants needed for the experience to take place, we will not be held responsible for any additional costs incurred booking these addition travel arrangements.
