Denia Cycling Experience
Ride the easy way.
Escape to Denia for three days of incredible cycling, five days including travel. This sun-soaked Spanish cycling break is built around relaxed guided rides, warm weather and beautiful Costa Blanca scenery.
Ride planned routes of around 80–116km at a steady group pace of roughly 20–24kph / 12–15mph.
Enjoy coastal roads, inland valleys, orange groves, almond trees, vineyards and traditional Spanish villages.
No daily packing and no luggage moves — stay in Denia and enjoy the riding, cafés, food and evenings.
A full-carbon hire bike is included in the trip cost, with Di2 available for an additional £75.
What to expect
Denia is a peaceful alternative to the busier cycling resorts, with a beautiful coastline, mountain views and a relaxed Spanish town feel.
This isn’t about speed. It is about early-season fitness, good roads, coffee stops, lunch stops and enjoying the ride with experienced Velo Europe guides.
We provide a shared transfer from Alicante. Your flight should arrive before 12:00, and the transfer to Denia takes approximately one hour. On the final day we plan to leave the hotel at approximately 10:00 to return to Alicante, subject to our own flights.

Daily ride plan
Below you'll find a brief overview of each day's ride.
TRAVEL DAY
Transfer to the hotel. You must contact us before booking your flight if you want to use the transfer. The day is yours until around 17:00, when we will have an informal briefing and collect bikes at around 17:30. We meet at 08:45 the following morning and start riding at 09:00.
RIDE TO CULLERA
The ride from Denia to Cullera follows Spain’s eastern coastline, passing flat agricultural plains, traditional Spanish villages and plenty of cafés for refreshments. Lunch is planned at a pizzeria in Cullera before returning to Denia by an inland route.
RIDE TO CALPE
Today we ride from Denia to Calpe, a stunning route that showcases the rugged beauty of the Costa Blanca. Most of the ride is rolling, with some short, steep sections to test the legs.
RIDE TO BENISSA
This coastal ride from Denia winds through Xàbia’s picturesque coves and climbs gently towards Benissa, with sweeping views of the Mediterranean and rugged cliffs. The return offers lush valleys dotted with vineyards and almond groves, framed by Montgó mountain.
ONWARD TRAVEL
Today is relaxed and dependent on your flight times. We will arrange transfers back to the airport, subject to our own flights and transfer schedule.

Important details
Flight / transfer info
To use the shared transfer, please ensure your flight arrives in Spain before 12:00. The journey from Alicante to Denia takes approximately one hour.
On the final day our team needs to be back in Alicante by 11:59, so we plan to leave the hotel at approximately 10:00. Please book flights accordingly if you wish to use the return transfer.
Excluded
International flights, evening meals, lunches, snacks, drinks, personal expenses and travel insurance are not included.
Other terms
To book, a deposit is required, with the balance due 60 days before departure. Cancellations made over 60 days in advance are refundable minus a fee, while those within 60 days are non-refundable.
Travel insurance is recommended but not included. Itineraries may change due to unforeseen circumstances, and riders must follow guide instructions at all times.
Luggage includes one main bag and one small bag. Respectful behaviour is required and special requests should be made at booking, subject to availability.
